Board Director
Erik Richards, Certified Arborist since 2010 loves to drive people crazy with random, unsolicited tree facts and identification. Erik is also a Certified Master Naturalist through Cornell Cooperative Extension which includes a mix of schooling and volunteer events. Some volunteer activities entailed counting hundreds of baby eels and rescuing dozens of amphibians from a busy local road. Mountain biking, hiking and caving are Erik's recreational activities of choice. Erik has lead a few interpretive walks and has been a guest speaker to the American Society of Home Inspectors as well as at Cornell Cooperative's Garden Day event. Erik is an owner of a 1915 house in mid-town Kingston and spends too many weekends dealing with peeling paint and broken plumbing.
