Pronouns: she/her
Maggie’s connection to the land originates in childhood summers camping in the Colorado Rockies, with her grandparents on their land in Corpus Christi, Texas and at her mother’s side in the gardens they planted in every place the Air Force sent the family. She has lived in the Hudson River Valley and Catskills for over 30 years. Her connection to the KLT began as an originating member of the Land in Black Hands Steering committee. She is thrilled to be applying her professional expertise to an organization and cause she supported as a volunteer.
Service to the community and the arts are at the heart of Maggie’s career and avocations. She was previously Director of Development for TRANSART and Cultural Services in Kingston. A former network television executive, she parlayed business expertise into a consulting firm that served World Trade Center firms until 2011. She is currently the president of the Board of Directors of Midtown Kingston Arts District, serves on arts related committees for the City of Kingston and Ulster County, is a member of the Bardavon/UPAC Board and serves as a consultant to the Midtown Business Alliance.
A gourmet chef, Maggie is passionate about food sources, organic gardening, land protection and expansive friendships. When asked, she considers herself a renaissance person – all of life is an artistic endeavor for Maggie.
