The Kingston Land Trust is working at the intersections of environmental protection, racial justice and local sustainability. I first became involved in supporting the Kingston Land Trust in connection with the successful effort by Harambee and the KLT to preserve the Pine Street African Burial Ground. Constructive local work such as that carried out by the Kingston Land Trust is important in making a better future in the Hudson Valley.
I support Kingston Land Trust because I believe that public space is important for all cities and all people within them. Through their myriad efforts, KLT works to make Kingston a better, greener, more inclusive city for all of us.
