The Kingston Land Trust has always taken a holistic approach to creating access to land that has included engaging residents in local food production.
- In 2010 we established the South Pine Street City Farm, which is still active today, to make land available to farmers to grow food for the community
- In 2017 we launched Comida y tierra, conversations in Spanish that support local restaurants and farms
- In 2018 we planted community fruit trees and medicinal shrubs on our land in the Town of Ulster
- In 2019 we created our land matching portal
With your help, we will deepen our efforts to support food access in Kingston and beyond through our dynamic programming and public access projects.
