Red Fox Ravine Bioblitz: Equinox Exploration

Discover and help us track the biodiversity of our big beautiful urban land at Red Fox Ravine. This will contribute to DUB - Defining Urban Biodiversity, a project of Scenic Hudson and The Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies. This project combines citizen science days like this bioblitz - where neighbors help professional scientists collect data - and other tools like wildlife cameras. 
 

We will use a variety of methods to track birds, mammals, insects, plants, and fungi. These will include apps (like Merlin, Seek, and iNaturalist), our own eyes and ears (and binoculars if you have them), and guest nature experts from the local naturalist community. Experts from several of our organizations will be on hand to guide you in the process of identifying and documenting flora, fauna, and fungi.
