Stewardship Party: Forest Sanctuary

Let’s continue to make this forest a sanctuary for humans and animals! We will start with a walk-through and work-walk in the pollinator garden closest to the school parking lot. What a fun place to save/savor the bugs! We will continue on into the Forest Sanctuary to select plants that are good sources of food and habitat for our human and non-human neighbors. We will also make some improvements to the trail that is a vital pathway in an inviting forest between the Kingston Greenline, JFK Elementary, and Hasbrouck Park. In other words: Come ready to do physical work AND to learn about plants, ecology, and ecological restoration.
