Bio
Karli's connection to the natural world began in the woods of their backyard in St. Louis, Missouri, and while spending summer’s working for the family landscaping business. After relocating to NYC and graduating from CUNY Brooklyn, Karli spent several years in the film industry, working as a cinematographer and lighting technician on various documentaries, commercials, and films.
Since 2020 Karl has been a farmhand on organic vegetable and flower farms in Rosendale, Kerhonkson, and Kingston. Their experiences in farming deepened their commitment to conservation and building more equitable and sustainable food systems. In addition to their role at KLT, Karli is a writer, gardener, poet, and can be found performing at open mics around the valley.
